Detailed Program
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be received by your Bhutanese guide and driver. After completing arrival formalities, begin your scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital (approx. 1.5 hours).
En route, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang Bridge, an iron chain bridge built by the legendary Tibetan saint Thangtong Gyalpo—an introduction to Bhutan’s spiritual and engineering heritage.
Upon arrival in Thimphu:
Visit the Memorial Chorten, a revered stupa where locals gather daily for prayer and meditation.
Explore Thimphu town, blending tradition with modern life.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner featuring authentic Bhutanese cuisine, including local specialties such as Ema Datshi (chili and cheese stew), red rice, and seasonal dishes.

Today is dedicated to discovering Thimphu’s cultural treasures:
Buddha Dordenma Statue – One of the largest sitting Buddha statues in the world, offering panoramic views of the Thimphu valley.
National Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Arts & Crafts School) – Learn about Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts, including painting, wood carving, and embroidery.
Textile Museum or Folk Heritage Museum – Gain insights into Bhutanese weaving traditions or rural life.
Tashichho Dzong – The impressive fortress-monastery that houses the King’s offices, the central monk body, and key government ministries.
In the evening, stroll through Thimphu’s local market and handicraft shops. Dinner at a local restaurant continues your culinary journey into Bhutanese flavors.

After breakfast, drive back to Paro Valley.
Upon arrival:
Visit Rinpung Dzong (Fortress of the Heap of Jewels), one of Bhutan’s finest examples of dzong architecture and an important religious and administrative center.
Walk across the traditional wooden cantilever bridge leading to the dzong.
Explore the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in a former watchtower (Ta Dzong), showcasing Bhutan’s history, religious art, textiles, and natural heritage.
Later, enjoy a relaxed walk through Paro town or visit a local farmhouse to experience home-style Bhutanese cooking (optional). Dinner in Paro features more regional specialties and locally sourced ingredients.

After an early breakfast, drive to the trailhead for the hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang)—Bhutan’s most iconic and sacred site.
The hike takes approximately 4–5 hours round trip, passing through pine forests adorned with prayer flags. Perched dramatically on a cliff face, Tiger’s Nest is where Guru Rinpoche is believed to have meditated in the 8th century, introducing Buddhism to Bhutan.
After descending and resting for a while in the hotel, transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Bhutan’s culture and spirituality.
